A downloadable game for Windows

A 2D cuboid creature hops around a jungle environ... and you can't help but wonder what the measurements of its various body parts are. We all have weird thoughts when we're on safari.

Luckily, the mouse doubles as a measuring device; hold down either the left or right mouse button and drag the cursor to reveal a second cursor underneath - as well as the number of pixels that make up the space between them. How accurate will your measurements of the Boxy Hop-Dog be? Whether you're dead on or way, way off, the dimensions change each time you restart the game. It's blocky jungle fun for everyone!

I initially designed this game around using the mouse and keyboard (space bar to open the entry screen/number keys to input values) but I've since gone back in and added a way for it to mostly be played with just the mouse, as long as your mouse has a scroll wheel. You will be able to open the entry screen  with the middle mouse button and add/subtract values by moving the scroll wheel up or down. Windows' on-screen keyboard also works for any keys that need to be pressed!

It takes a lot of patience to measure this mischievous cutie, but that was fun :)

Of minor issues - I still didn’t manage to figure out what “stance” is after 3 games. “the inner space between legs” seems to give me wrong results [UPD: Ah, I see that in the last playthrough I’ve mistaken width and depth, but apart from that the measurements were fine]. Also the game doesn’t scale with window size - even on my small monitor it’s very small + cheap (=inaccurate) mouse, it becomes a bit more of a challenge than it should be ;) A good idea would be to control view with WASD, moving mouse around is very tedious. Also Boxy seems to get lost often as I input the values and it takes some time and anxiety to find it (some marker might be welcome).

Thank you for the review! In regards to the window size, do you mean it doesn't scale when you try to drag the window to resize/ press the maximize button? If so, it's not able to be scaled that way. Sorry if that made it difficult to play with your recording software. The only two options are either 640x480 window or to go full screen with the F key.

The camera controls are designed that way so you have to choose between measuring or moving at a given moment, but I will keep your idea for a marker that shows where the Boxy Hop-Dog went to in mind!

Again, thanks for playing. You're the first person to ever make a let's play for one of my games!
